List of documents constituting proof of one’s command of Polish as a foreign language

  • certificate of concluding a one-year course preparing the applicant for taking up studies in the Polish language in institutions designated by the Minister of Higher Education;
  • certificate attesting the command of the Polish language issued by the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language [Państwowa Komisja Poświadczania Znajomości Języka Polskiego jako Obcego];
  • high school graduation certificate / diploma issued in Poland;
  • confirmation of the host higher education institution that the applicant's preparation and command of the Polish language make them eligible for studying in Polish.
Should the applicant not be in possession of any of the above documents, it is possible to take an examination in Polish in the School of Polish Language and Culture for Foreign Students. To enrol, contact Department of Education [Dział Nauczania] at amuoes@amu.edu.pl
 

The exam consists of two parts: oral and written.
