Programme description
Studies in the field of Image and Mediation Communication enable the acquisition of knowledge and competences in the field of the theory and models of communication as well as communication techniques, used depending on the cultural, civilization, linguistic and communication environment, in particular those used in broadly understood environments as communication niches (including the professional niche) within the English and native (native-Polish) language area. Graduates have theoretical and practical preparation to function in the field of public relations communication (e.g. linguistic and visual advertising, interviews, work in the mass media, field administration, etc.).

Documented knowledge and skills of English at the level B2+ of the CEFR is required of applicants to the degree programme.
Requirements under the Act on the Protection of Minors
Students of the "Image and Media Communication" course are obliged to complete a student work placement by the end of the fourth semester of their studies, with the time of completion of the placement not interfering with teaching classes.
It is a condition of compulsory student professional practice that the student meets the requirements set out in the Act of 13 May 2016 on Counteracting the Threat of Sexual Offences and the Protection of Minors, in particular to undergo verification in the Register of Sexual Offenders and to submit information from the National Criminal Register with regard to specific offences, and in the case of students who are foreigners or who have resided in the last 20 years in countries other than the Republic of Poland, also to submit additional declarations, as well as information from criminal records of other countries together with sworn translations. Failure to comply with the requirements set out in the above-mentioned Act will make it impossible to complete the compulsory student work placements and consequently to graduate.
